This has been a most exciting summer for the Lower Senior Division in Camp Ranger. It seemed that as soon as the buses left camp, activities were in full swing. Leagues were formed in basketball, baseball, soccer, and hockey. Everyone in the division took part in each league. One of the early highlights of the camp season was the Lower Senior Show, "Lil Abner," where again everyone took part in. Throughout the summer, Lower Senior boys exhibited exceptional sportsmanship among themselves and also during inter-camp games. Furthermore, the talented "A" softball team won all its games played against other camps. The innovative mountaineering program afforded an opportunity for several boys to travel to Montreal and to climb Mount Marcy, the highest peak in New York State. All boys in the division who wanted to were able to experience at least one overnight during summer. Also, all qualified, interested boys went on canoe trips offered by the waterfront staff.

Eight weeks may seem like a very short part of a person's life, but the feeling of togetherness and good spirit which pervaded camp, will stay with all of us associated with the Lower Senior Division for some time to come.
