This summer, with the addition of two new courts for the girls camp, the tennis program flourished. Every girl in camp was scheduled for tennis three times a week. Under the direction of Bob Martin, Coach of South Shore High School Tennis Team, and Craig Tover, tournament player, and Greg Weitzner and Randi Subotsky, excellent instruction was given daily.
Bunk and division tournaments encouraged all girls to play and practice. Improvement was visible and accomplishment beamed on all their faces.
Inter-camp tennis was also very successful this summer. Our season record was four to one. At the Laconda Invitational our girls won three gold medals. Janet Libby won a gold as well as Robin Cohen and Tina Schecter.
The summer of 1976 will be hard to top, but we'll try in 1977.
