Reader: Let my whole being bless the Lord,
O Lord, my God, who is very great.
Cong.: Who stretches out the heavens like a tent,
Who makes the clouds his chariots.
Reader: Who makes the winds his messengers;
His ministers, flames of fire.
Cong.: He causes fountains to flow In the valleys;
Between mountains they run.
Reader: They give drink to the beasts of the field;
Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell
And send forth their song!
Cong.: He makes grass grow for the cattle;
And fodder for the working animals of man
So that bread may come forth from the earth.
Reader: He made the moon for fixed seasons;
The sun knows Its time for setting.
Cong.: There is the sea, great and broad,
With its creatures small and great.
Reader: They all wait Upon Thee
To give them their food in due season.
Cong.: On the cedars of Lebanon which He planted
The birds build their nests.
Reader: The earth is full of Thy creations.
Cong.: How many are Thy works, O Lord!
In wisdom hast Thou made them all.
Reader: I will sing of the Lord as long as I live!
Cong.: I will chant praises to my God as long as I breathe !
